Want to say what you’ll do tomorrow? Next summer? In five years? Then you’ll need the Spanish future tense, also known as the futuro simple.
The good news? It’s one of the easiest tenses to learn in Spanish. No need to remove endings. No weird conjugation groups. Just take the full infinitive and add the right ending. Seriously.

When do we use Spanish Future Tense (Futuro Simple)?
We use the futuro simple to talk about what will happen in the future. Think of it like the English “I will do / she will go / they will eat.”

Spanish future tense examples:
- Mañana estudiaré español. (Tomorrow I will study Spanish)
- Irás a la playa este verano. (You will go to the beach this summer)
- Mis amigos llegarán tarde. (My friends will arrive late)
💡 Tip: In everyday spoken Spanish, people often use “ir + a + infinitive” (e.g., voy a estudiar), but the futuro simple is still widely used, especially in writing and formal contexts.
